This is a beautiful old piece of history. We went there on Sunday morning at 9 am for Light Church and I can't recommend this enough. Music was relevant, the theater was packed, and you truly felt the Holy Spirit. The sermon was applicable to life and I met many wonderful young people there.

Cash only. Admission is $12, but the candy and popcorn is all $5, which is overpriced in my opinion.

Seats were uncomfortable and the overall theater is poorly maintained. Has a lot of potential to bring new indie films to the area, but instead choose only cult classics. Which is fine, but personally it could have a more impact on the community by having events and showings.

I like La Paloma a lot. Cool and interesting films, great prices, and conveniently located in beautiful Encinitas where there is a lot of places to eat and hang out before and after. This is a rustic theater with a lot of character—seats are worn, screen has had a hard life, but clean and friendly.

Watch " On Sacred Ground" Documentary about the oil pipe being built throughout private lands and the mistreatment of the Native American Tribes.
Felt like I went back in time while I was seated in the theater. While looking to the ceiling, admiring all the artwork.

as history buffs and movie lovers, this was a highlight of our trip to the area. beautiful place and we enjoyed our time there. it is cash only and you can feel the history in the place (seats are old, place is a bit dark) but still highly recommend!

Love this place because it reminds me of a bygone Era. It's very rustic, but charming. Doors typically open a few min before start. Pay cash inside. Def an icon of coastal N county and a must visit while this piece of history still remains. I also love the surf/skate documentaries that pop up occasionally like the Solento Film Festival. Many good times.
